Who Is Exactly Becoming President?
The epic battle between McCain vs. Obama continues . . . Well, it looks more like Palin vs. Obama nowadays. The news and tabloids are being bombarded by the Alaskan VP. How can a person who practically hiding from every guy holding a video camera getting so much coverage? There is actually an US Weekly's new cover story about Palin, entitled, "Babies, Lies, & Scandal." It had gone far enough when a VP is sharing a magazine with gossip about Hilary Duff’s possible engagement bracelet. Do you see McCain in US magazine? Shucks, when had a nice little story about McCain kissing babies pop up lately? I tried glancing over recent articles actually focusing on our elephant-loving buddy . . . Nada.
Oh wait. Here is one!
. . .About McCain approving Palin . . .
. . . About McCain defending Palin . . .
. . . About McCain supporting Palin . . .
Funny, McCain is acting more like a VP then Palin is.
No! Wait! I found something. Seriously guys! McCain’s rise in the polls following the Republican National Convention! There is no way Palin could be involved in that! It is the fact that McCain never said the word "Bush" and his regular old Obama-bashing that help him took the lead. I mean the fact that he recently chose Palin as his VP means nothing. Absolutely nothing, you hear?

Yes, the journalist merit of US magazine is quite debatable. In some ways, it saddens me that a national election is tabloid fodder.
I think you hit on a bigger issue here as well. This election could quickly turn into Palin vs. Obama.
